We drove through Silver Lake, another happening East Side spot. We stopped at the Silver Lake Pool & Inn to check it out for our next LA stay. Plus, we had a baby earthquake that morning! My photos are not sunny because it rained almost every day we were in LA. They couldn’t show me a room because they were full, but we got the gist. A little oasis in the middle of the city. Next door to the hotel, a new EREWHON just opened up with a very cool wine bar attached to it. Fun fact, EREWHON started on Newbury Street in 1966 and moved it to LA in 1969. Jones Hollywood in West Hollywood for dinner. Food was DELICIOUS and super crowded, so a lot of fun. West Hollywood Farmer’s Market on Melrose Place for Sunday breakfast. Coffee from Alfred – the world’s most expensive coffee! And just this fall, Chamberlain Coffee became available to Angelenos at influencer mothership, Erewhon, a health-driven market with seven locations that’s been around since the ‘60s. ![]() It was a cool and sunny day, perfect for hanging around the museum. We had a very early flight out Monday morning, so we decamped to our old stomping ground – Manhattan Beach – for dinner at Love & Salt and stayed the Marriott Airport Hotel (classy!) so we wouldn’t miss our flight. We didn’t rent a car this time, which actually worked out well. Grace has a car and did most of the driving. It was definitely less than renting a car these days. ![]()
